CRER Cares delivers 70 meals to Connections for the Homeless Staff in Evanston

This meal delivery would not be possible without the generous donations from our GoFundMe donors. Every donation, large and small, allows us to keep supporting our great local restaurants and frontline workers! Connections for the Homeless was chosen by the CRER Cares board due to the critical work they do in the Evanston community. Throughout the pandemic, their 24/7 emergency homeless shelter has remained open and they have launched a 27-person COVID Response Team to expand their operations to meet the growing need for their services.

Skokie, IL 60076

Please join us in thanking them for everything that they have done not only during the pandemic, but over the more than 34 years of supporting individuals and families who were homeless with dignity and compassion. You can find out how to further support them on their website. The meals were purchased from Dengeos located in Skokie. This locally owned restaurant offers Greek and American specialties such as gyros, ribs, Greek & BBQ chicken, burgers, and the famous Dengeos salads.

It’s not too late to donate to or become a partner of CRER Cares. Every donation and partner is needed to help us reach our goal and expand our project’s reach to as many organizations as possible. If you have interest in becoming a partner or meal sponsor, please contact us at All donations, big and small, make a difference!
