CRER Cares, in partnership with McBrearty Construction, purchased 50 meals for the 22nd District Police Department and 36 meals for Chicago Fire Department – Engine 92 from Bacon & Jam. The 22nd District covers Morgan Park, Beverly and Mount Greenwood on Chicago’s south side. The police and fire departments are at increased risk during the pandemic.

Please join us in thanking them for their continued service to our community! Meals were purchased from Bacon & Jam in Chicago’s Mount Greenwood neighborhood. This local favorite breakfast spot is locally owned and operated by brothers Sam and Joe Maglaris. They offer traditional breakfast favorites as well as red velvet pancakes, homemade andouille sausage, pulled-pork hash and Hollandaise sauce made from scratch. Customers can expect some interesting specials as well.
